Who?
My name is William Commer, but I go by Tres (pronounced Trace), like “three” in Spanish, because I’m the third William in my family (It’s what I’ve been called since I was a kid). I am a local Duluth artist (originally from New Jersey). I have worked as a Registered Nurse for the past nine years, seven of which were in the Emergency Department.
I want to share my music with anyone who will listen to it. If it’s not your thing, no worries! I do it for the joy of doing it. Some people might find a connection with it. If you do, that’s awesome! I love feeling a connection with a particular song and I’m honored to be part of that for someone.

Why I make the music I do:
Music has always been a part of my life, ever since I was little. I originally started writing my own music as a form of relief from the stress of working in the ER. I no longer work in the ER and my life is a little less stressful nowadays, but I found accessing that creative side of myself opened up a whole world. It was healing, enriching, and exciting all at the same time.
I continue to make music because I love music and engaging with my creative side helps me to continue to grow as a person.
